The Second Avenue Business Association (SABA) was created in November 2007 to heighten awareness and generate City and State financial support to the businesses being adversely affected by the Second Avenue subway construction. The mission of the organization is to ensure the continuation of Second Avenue as a vibrant commercial corridor. SABA's message to the community and government is SOS: Save Our Stores. Its members consist of approximately 100 local independent merchants located within the construction zones comprising 96th-91st and 73rd-68th Streets.
